Pashinyan and Marukyan in the Same Place: Heated Discussions Underway

The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports: According to information from "Zhoghovurd" newspaper, on May 21 in Shushi, the newly elected President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan's inauguration ceremony will also see the participation of Armenian officials. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will also be in Artsakh on that day.

According to information from "Zhoghovurd", invitations have been sent from Artsakh to the National Assembly of Armenia to participate in the inauguration, including to NA President Ararat Mirzoyan, the three vice presidents, as well as the chairpersons of the functioning committees of the parliament. Based on our information, there is a decision that members of the inter-parliamentary commission for cooperation between the National Assembly of Armenia and the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh will also travel to Artsakh.

In recent days, heated discussions have been taking place among the authorities regarding the specific number of individuals who should travel to Artsakh to participate in the inauguration ceremony, as everything is being done to ensure that a limited number of people are sent to Artsakh to avoid the spread of the virus.

According to our information, only Vahe Enfiajyan from the BHK faction of the National Assembly will travel to Artsakh, as Naira Zohrabyan will not be going due to work commitments. Meanwhile, from the “Luminous Armenia” faction, the head of the faction, Edmon Marukyan, will be in Artsakh on that day, while discussions are still ongoing about which MPs will accompany him.
