Coronavirus Detected in Driver from Armenia in Georgia
A 29-year-old man in the city of Zestafoni, Imereti region of Georgia has tested positive for coronavirus. According to the website of the radio station ‘Echo of the Caucasus,’ the man is a truck driver who arrived in Georgia from Armenia and was in self-isolation.
At the same time, the news outlet Новости-Грузия, referencing Imereti Governor Zviad Shalamberidze, reports that after the virus diagnosis, the young man was moved from the hospital in Zestafoni to the hospital in Kutaisi the previous night. It is noted that doctors assess his condition as stable.
As reported by World News, according to Shalamberidze, the identities of all individuals who came into contact with the driver have already been identified. He has had contact with his family, and several others have interacted with him upon his arrival in Zestafoni. All these individuals are currently in self-isolation.
