The Ministry of Defense Central Housing Commission Issues Announcement
The Ministry of Defense of Armenia has issued an announcement for former military servicemen who have been discharged with the right to long-term military pension and are registered for housing security during their military service. Those who have not been provided with a dwelling under a free ownership right or free state financial support, or a land plot during their military service, will be allocated state financial support for purchasing housing or residential houses.
This support is provided based on the decision N 540-N of the Government of the Republic of Armenia dated May 10, 2019, until December 1, 2020, through housing purchase certificates. The assistance will be prioritized based on the years of registration of beneficiaries, as follows: a) Communities located in border areas of Armenia, b) Other regions of Armenia, c) Yerevan city.
The sequence of the regions of Armenia has been established as follows:
- Tavush Province,
- Vayots Dzor Province,
- Syunik Province,
- Gegharkunik Province,
- Ararat Province,
- Shirak Province,
- Lori Province,
- Armavir Province,
- Aragatsotn Province,
- Kotayk Province,
- Yerevan city.
Based on the established priorities, beneficiaries registered on the date of registration in Lori, Armavir, and Aragatsotn Provinces are requested to update the existing documents in the housing files.
To update the documents, it is necessary to present oneself to the Social Security Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia (address: Yerevan, Babayan St. 4, phone: 010-28-74-41) during the following periods: from May 20 to June 5 for Lori Province, from June 8 to June 19 for Armavir Province, and from June 22 to July 3 for Aragatsotn Province, along with the following documents:
- a photocopy of the discharge order,
- photocopies of the passports of the beneficiary and their family members (with originals),
- a photocopy of the marriage (divorce) certificate (with originals),
- certificate from the passport division regarding the registration addresses of the beneficiary and their family members,
- photocopies of ownership rights certificates for the residential properties (houses) of the beneficiary and their family members (with originals), as well as information about individuals registered in those properties from the passport division,
- information from the housing cooperative regarding residents,
- information from the relevant subdivision of the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre under the Government of the Republic of Armenia regarding the acquisition and/or alienation of residential real estate owned by the beneficiary and their family members in the territory of Armenia over the last five years,
- for those registered in disaster areas or affected individuals, as well as refugees, an information document from the relevant body confirming the absence of housing or relevant certificates for housing acquisition.
