If a person finds a piece of fabric and makes a mask from it, will it be considered a mask? A question for the Deputy Minister
In Parliament today, during the discussion of the draft law on amendments to the Code on Administrative Offenses, lawmakers pointed out that there is an issue in conveying decisions to the public, as conspiracy theories circulating in Armenia are very dangerous.
Member of the 'Prosperous Armenia' faction, Mikayel Melkumyan, addressed Deputy Minister of Justice Vahe Danielyan, asking whether the price of a mask is related to people's incomes.
“You should have received information from the relevant government departments about what the cost price is. A mask is 200-230 drams, you should have clarified what the profitability is, if a person has to change their mask three times a day, one person will spend 20,000 drams a month, while a family will spend 60,000,” he said.
Danielyan noted that, essentially, the cost price and its market value are not related to legal regulation; this is a matter related to supply and demand.
In response to a question from 'My Step' faction member Viktor Yeghikaryan, asking if a person finds a piece of fabric and makes a mask from it, would it be considered a mask, the Deputy Minister replied, “Such issues are not actually regulated by law, but if that mask can serve the purpose for which the requirement is specified, then it may be.”
