Georgia Will Not Be Able to Host the Same Number of Tourists This Year as in Previous Years, Says Gakharia
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, has announced that the state needs to focus on the development of tourism in the regions rather than just in the capital city of Tbilisi. This was reported by pia.ge.
“We need to keep one thing in mind. We still do not know how long we will be living with this virus, it could be for several months or even a year. We must be prepared for the worst-case scenario and understand that we need to strengthen our advantages as a tourist country,” Gakharia said during his visit to the Kakheti region on May 19.
According to the Prime Minister, the country will not be able to host the same number of tourists this year as it has in previous years.
