Video: Police Arrest Individuals Stealing Payment Terminal in Davtashen During the Crime

On the night of May 16, a surveillance camera in a store on Tigran Petrosyan Street in Yerevan captured how several individuals pried open the store's door using technical means and removed a payment terminal from the shop. They then attempted to move it to a BMW parked nearby.

Prior to this incident, the Criminal Police had already received operational information regarding the group's criminal intentions. Consequently, operatives from the aforementioned police departments, along with investigators from the Mashtots and Erebuni divisions, apprehended the suspects just as they were about to complete the theft.

The arrested individuals, aged 23, 27, 26, and a 47-year-old man, along with their vehicle, were taken to the Mashtots Police Department and detained. A metal crowbar was discovered in the vehicle.

It was revealed that the license plates on the BMW had been stolen just hours earlier from a parked Lada car in the yard of one of the buildings on Isakyan Avenue. Reports have been filed by both the car owner and the owner of the payment terminal. The circumstances of the incidents are being investigated, and the preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
