Yerevan Zoo to Reopen on May 18 with Strict Entry Requirements
Yerevan Zoo will resume operations starting May 18, according to an announcement on their Facebook page.
“Dear citizens, the Yerevan Zoo will reopen on May 18. Due to emergency situation restrictions, entry to the zoo will be allowed exclusively with personal protective equipment—masks and gloves. Sufficient numbers of alcohol-based hand sanitizers will be available at the entrance. Temperatures of individuals entering the area will be measured.
For safety reasons, there will also be restrictions within the zoo. Specifically:
- Feeding the animals is prohibited.
- Contact with metal surfaces is forbidden.
- Social distancing must be maintained in the zoo; there will be responsible supervisors to enforce this.
- The number of visitors will be monitored within the premises.
To avoid unnecessary issues, it is advisable to call ahead and reserve an entry ticket by dialing 010562362 or 010562165.
The Yerevan Zoo will operate daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with disinfection activities conducted twice a day throughout the grounds.
