I See No Problem in Discussing Artsakh Issue with Former Presidents, Says Nikol Pashinyan
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during his press conference today, stated that he sees a necessity to discuss the Artsakh issue with former presidents at this time, asserting that there is no obstacle to make that happen.
Pashinyan emphasized once again that they cannot envision a resolution to the issue without the participation of elected representatives from Artsakh. He remarked on the failure to bring Artsakh back to the negotiation table, a situation that has persisted for the last 22 years since 1998 when Artsakh was excluded from negotiations.
He noted, “For 22 years, the entire international community has been operating under these conditions. There has been a tacit understanding that Artsakh should not be around the negotiating table. This creates certain complications. Our understanding is that we cannot resolve the Artsakh issue without its elected representatives. We cannot make decisions on behalf of the elected representatives of Artsakh.”
