23 Combat Fire Positions and 216 Modern Surveillance Devices Installed on the Frontline

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during an online press conference today that 23 combat fire positions have been established on the frontline, along with the installation of 216 modern surveillance devices and thermovisual day-combined cameras along the border.

He also noted that 8 combat positions and outposts have been provided with electrical power, while 235 combat positions now have a permanent water supply, and solar panels have been installed in 230 locations.

“The armed forces have been bolstered with 1,343 new automotive vehicles and 33 units of engineering equipment. Previously, in order to carry out engineering work, requests were made to various organizations for their tractors. While this is not entirely eliminated, we have made unprecedented acquisitions to enhance the armed forces with engineering equipment,” said Pashinyan.

The process of replacing conscript soldiers with contract soldiers has also continued on the frontline. In 2020, efforts to improve food quality in the army which began in 2019 have continued not only in military units but also at combat outposts. “We are also installing showers at combat outposts. A process for testing modular showers has now begun,” Pashinyan added.
