Members of the 'Bright Armenia' Faction Invited to the Special Investigative Service
Members of the 'Bright Armenia' faction, Hrant Ayvazyan and Sargis Aleksanyan, were invited to the Special Investigative Service on May 15 to provide explanations regarding an incident that occurred in the National Assembly. This was reported to 24News by 'Bright Armenia' faction member Sargis Aleksanyan.
“According to the Special Investigative Service, we were among the active participants in the brawl, and we have provided explanations regarding this. I described everything that happened. It is clearly visible in the video that during the pulling back of Vahe Ghalumyan, he fell. Lilit Makunts describes this action as violence, claiming that I hit him, but I have repeatedly stated that I did not strike Ghalumyan. If I had the intention to hit him, I wouldn't have pushed him down and then hit him; I would have hit him immediately,” said Aleksanyan.
The member of parliament clarified that during the incident there was a scuffle, and it is possible that the video might create the impression that punches were thrown. Aleksanyan noted that according to the video, Ghalumyan got up from where he fell, and there were no aggressive blows directed at them, which, according to Aleksanyan, proves that they did not hit Ghalumyan.
