Good News Follows One After Another in Kotayk: Governor on Kindergarten Renovation
Good news follows one after another in Kotayk. This was stated on the Facebook page of Kotayk Governor Romanos Petrosyan.
"During the recent meeting of the interdepartmental commission established for the allocation of subsidies in 2020, the capital renovation and landscaping project application for the second building of the kindergarten in the Mayakovsky community was approved.
-I would like to emphasize that the kindergarten in Mayakovsky has not operated for at least a decade, and the little ones in the community have had to attend kindergartens in Abovyan, or not attend at all.
-To carry out the renovation of the abandoned two-story first building of the kindergarten, I proposed last year to include the project in the list of urgent issues requiring solutions from the Government, as a result of which the building was renewed by order of the Armenian Territorial Development Fund.
-Following the capital renovation of the second building, the community will have a completely renovated kindergarten (with 4 groups) ready for 90 to 110 children by the beginning of the autumn season this year.
-The estimated cost of the project is 67,730,510 AMD, and the works will be implemented with a 50% / 50% co-financing from the state and the community.
-I have emphasized multiple times and reaffirm once again that kindergartens have an extremely important institutional role. They are not only of social, educational, and nurturing significance but also of cultural importance; and if the community has a well-maintained kindergarten, it has accomplished one of its main and mandatory tasks.
-In total, we submitted 105 project applications to the Government of Armenia from the 38 communities of Kotayk Province, worth about 6.2 billion AMD," wrote the governor.
