Lithuania Provides Armenia with 10,600 Protective Face Shields
On April 22, the Lithuanian government decided to allocate a total of €100,000 in aid to support four countries that are members of the Eastern Partnership, including Armenia, in the fight against coronavirus, in the form of medical supplies produced by Lithuanian companies. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“On May 14, the 10,600 protective face shields delivered to Armenia by a Lithuanian military aircraft (3,000 for use by medical personnel and 7,600 for other professionals engaged in outdoor or non-medical services) were handed over on behalf of the Lithuanian government by Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė, the Ambassador of Lithuania to Armenia, to Anahit Avanesyan, Deputy Minister of Health, and Avet Adonts, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. We highly appreciate our partners’ support and this friendly gesture in our joint fight against the pandemic,” the ministry stated in a Facebook post.
