Four Special Checkpoints Established in Artsakh
The police of the Republic of Artsakh have established special checkpoints to ensure the enforcement of restrictions on the right to free movement of individuals. This information comes from the Artsakh Information Headquarters.
According to information provided by the Republic of Artsakh Police, due to the state of emergency, special checkpoints have been installed at four different locations starting from May 13, 2020, at 14:00, to ensure the enforcement of restrictions on the right to free movement of individuals and to monitor the movement of vehicles. The checkpoints are located at the intersection leading to the area called 'Yanshagh' from the Martakert-Vardenis interstate road, on the road from the village of Khnaravan to Nor Kharkhaput, on the road leading to the village of Chahpni from the Martakert-Vardenis interstate road, and at the intersection of the roads leading to the village of Khnaravan from the Martakert-Vardenis interstate road.
In order to prevent vehicles traveling on the Martakert-Vardenis interstate road from stopping in the communities of Charektar, Nor Erkej, Dadivank, Yeghyood, Nor Kharkhaput, Khnaravan, and Havashtag in the Shushi region of the Artsakh Republic, the Artsakh police have implemented new regulations regarding the monitoring of movement.
By the decree of the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Bako Sahakyan, the state of emergency declared on April 12, 2020, has been extended for 30 days starting from May 12, 2020, at 22:00, until June 11, 2020, at 22:00 inclusive.
