The Deputy Prosecutor of Shirak Appointed as the Head of the NSS Investigative Department

According to "Factinfo" sources, key officials in the NSS Investigative Department have submitted resignation letters. The young deputy director of the NSS, Argishti Kyaramyan, has decided to fill the investigative department with his own personnel. Our information indicates that the new head of the Investigative Department is Arthur Poghosyan, the deputy prosecutor of Shirak province, with whom Kyaramyan has worked at the Shirak Prosecutor's Office.

It should be noted that A. Poghosyan began his professional career at the Lori Prosecutor's Office and is considered a product of the former authorities, known for his particular inclination to carry out the orders of superiors unconditionally.

In addition, Arman Galstyan, the deputy head of the Lori Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee, has also been appointed as the deputy head of the Investigative Department. These new appointments have created real turmoil within the NSS Investigative Department, where staff are upset about the new government’s policy of filling the NSS with personnel of lower professional qualifications. Several employees, including Artem Grigoryan, the deputy head of the NSS Investigative Department, have also submitted resignation letters.

There is a real danger that the work of the investigative unit, which examines a number of criminal cases of great significance for the Prime Minister of Armenia, could become paralyzed. The issue is being addressed through financial means; in particular, the Prime Minister has promised to raise salaries and financially entice employees. However, many have found this insulting, stating, "Pashinyan still hasn't understood what the honor of a soldier is."
