Gayane Abrahamyan Did Not Remove Insults Directed at Ombudsman by Users. Tatoyant Responds
Ms. Abrahamyan, your question, response to my answer, and your speech were entirely dedicated to one topic—hatred, specifically concerning a particular situation. This was stated today, May 12, by Armenia's Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyant, addressing Gayane Abrahamyan, a member of the 'My Step' faction in the National Assembly.
“I thought it would be useful to also talk about, for example, why or in what condition the children in Gyumri are as a result of the closure of institutions. Are they in a risk group or not? For instance, I have visited with 'Shirak' NGO two children whom we are now helping to be admitted to a vocational institution: their father is a grave digger, and they have no mother. They have found themselves in a risk group. Since the sister is a bit older, she takes care of her brother. We should discuss this and understand the solutions,” he said.
Tatoyant noted that the MP has posted her two speeches on her social media account, under which insults have been directed at the Human Rights Defender that have not been removed: “In the case of those speeches, I believe users would have the opportunity to express their opinions, which would also be useful for us.”
