Video: Russian President's Speech and Air Show Dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of Victory

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Second World War, Russian President Vladimir Putin laid flowers at the Unknown Soldier Monument and paid tribute to the memory of the victims of the Great Patriotic War. Putin emphasized that the contribution of the Soviet soldier is invaluable.

He declared a moment of silence in memory of the victims of the Second World War. He noted that the traditional Victory Parade in the capital will take place "in an expanded and deserving manner" when the epidemiological situation in the country allows.

Following this, the air show commenced. It is worth mentioning that due to the new coronavirus pandemic, the events and parades dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory have been disrupted. This year, Russia will not hold a military parade; instead, over 660 aircraft and helicopters from the country's military aviation will fly over dozens of cities.
