Total of 4,030,053 People Infected with Coronavirus Worldwide

The number of victims of the coronavirus worldwide has reached 276,498, with a total of 4,030,053 people infected. According to data from worldometers, 1,394,965 individuals have recovered from the virus. Currently, 2,358,590 patients are undergoing treatment, with the condition of 48,503 (2 percent) being classified as serious or critical.

The majority of infection cases have been recorded in the United States (1,322,164), where 78,616 people have died from the virus. Spain follows in second place with 260,117 infections, while Italy ranks third with 217,185. The United Kingdom (211,364) and Russia (198,676) follow suit. Iran, which for a long time held the 2nd or 3rd position in terms of confirmed cases, has now fallen to the tenth position, with a total of 104,691 confirmed cases of coronavirus.

Turkey is in 9th place with 135,569 infections.

In Armenia, there were 146 new cases of coronavirus infection registered in the past 24 hours. As of the morning of May 9, a total of 3,175 coronavirus infection cases have been recorded in the country. Currently, 1,852 people are receiving treatment (an increase of 94 over one day). A total of 1,267 people have recovered (49 within the last day), and 44 patients have died (an increase of one death). Additionally, another 2 citizens who were infected with the coronavirus have died due to other diseases, bringing the total to 12.
