Georgia Will Not Sever Diplomatic Relations with Ukraine Due to Saakashvili, Prime Minister
The Prime Minister of Georgia has assured that the country will not sever diplomatic relations with Ukraine due to former President Mikheil Saakashvili, but will develop a strategy to protect Georgian-Ukrainian relations from 'adventurism.'
At the same time, he expressed interest in how Ukrainian authorities would manage to restrain Saakashvili from interfering in Georgia's affairs. 'Naturally, we will not jeopardize our strategic partnership and brotherhood of peoples due to irresponsible politicians. Although we have recalled our ambassador, that does not mean we will call into question our diplomatic relations or strategic partnership. We have recalled the ambassador for consultations on how to protect our relations from adventurist politicians,' said Gakharia.
