51 Cases of Coronavirus Infection Confirmed in Syunik
In the Syunik province, there are currently 51 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus infection, with 26 of those reported in recent days. This information was shared on the official Facebook page of the Syunik Regional Administration.
A total of 24 individuals have recovered, while 27 individuals are undergoing treatment, including 19 from Kajaran, 5 from Goris, 2 from Kapan, and 1 from Meghri. The patient from Meghri was diagnosed with coronavirus on April 1, has accompanying illnesses, and is currently under medical supervision in Yerevan.
“Dear citizens, currently, under the state of emergency, the restrictions on free movement and several other limitations have ceased to be in effect, but the risk of the pandemic still remains. Therefore, it is crucial for each of you to maintain high awareness, discipline, and a responsible attitude. Please continue to strictly adhere to safety behaviors and disinfection guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health of Armenia and the commandant's office. We urge and demand that individuals in self-isolation, as directed by the relevant authorities, follow the rules of self-isolation and strictly comply with the requirements, ensuring the health of others is not jeopardized. Once again, we thank all healthcare workers for their efforts and remind the leaders of medical institutions that they bear personal responsibility in preventing the spread of the infection among the medical staff,” the statement reads.
