Tonoyan Reports on COVID-19 Cases Among Soldiers
“We have both infected individuals and those in isolation, as well as personnel from the risk group who are at home,” said Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan in an interview with News.am at Yerablur, addressing the cases of coronavirus infection in the army.
The minister informed that there is a decrease in the number of isolations and self-isolations, and due to the weather, this number will further decline.
“Among conscript soldiers, we almost have no carriers of the virus, and the cases with pneumonia complications are so few that it’s even embarrassing to talk about them,” he stated.
Tonoyan revealed that there are about two dozen soldiers infected with COVID-19 in the Armed Forces, with three cases having complications, but the condition of the others is not dangerous.
