It is Unacceptable to Gather Likes by Spreading Photos of Deceased Children from the Scene, Says Human Rights Defender
The Human Rights Defender, Arman Tatoyan, has made a post on his social media page, stating that after the tragic death of a father and his children, personal information and even photos from the scene are being circulated online. He emphasized that in certain cases, this is done in a manner that turns a person's private life and family tragedy into a blatant subject of exploitation. The ongoing discussions seek to assign blame, often targeting the wife.
“I find the attitudes present on certain websites and social networks extremely concerning. It is unacceptable to gather likes or generate views by using a family's tragedy and spreading photos of deceased children from the scene. We must understand that such actions cause pain and suffering to these families,” Tatoyan stated.
“Moreover, by doing so, we create a situation where the photos appearing on the internet accompany individuals for their entire lives, with all its negative consequences. Such phenomena are also unacceptable in terms of values, perceptions, and negative repercussions within society.”
He extended his condolences to the relatives of the deceased.
