Political Appointments in Law Enforcement Agencies: Pashinyan on Argishti Kyaramyan
Argishti Kyaramyan's appointment was a political decision made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. However, since the law imposes such requirements, he was first appointed as the deputy head of the Investigative Committee, and then as the deputy head of the National Security Service. This was announced today by Pashinyan at the National Assembly.
According to him, in line with his promise, there have been no external appointments in law enforcement agencies for a long time, allowing these structures to function effectively. However, moving forward, political appointments from outside will also take place, as stated by Pashinyan.
These appointments may, according to Pashinyan, be made in a 'cubical' format while requirements are being established.
The Prime Minister recalled that they had put aside their political interests for the sake of the system, as political appointments could destabilize the military structures. Now, however, according to Pashinyan, it is time to involve the largest segment of national potential.
