Karen Karapetyan Invited to Inquiry Commission for Remarkable Statement
The newspaper "Zhamanak" reports: "On May 8, three former Prime Ministers of Armenia, Vazgen Manukyan, Khosrov Harutyunyan, and Karen Karapetyan, along with former Artsakh Prime Minister Anushavan Danielyan, are preparing to submit a proposal to the court to replace the arrest of the second President Robert Kocharian with their personal guarantees. It should be noted that the former prime ministers were supposed to present this guarantee back in February-March; however, due to the health issues of Judge Anna Danibekyan, the court sessions did not take place.
It is noteworthy that former Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, who is in Armenia for this purpose, may also appear before the parliamentary inquiry commission investigating the April events. According to our information, the commission has sent an invitation to Karapetyan. In September 2016, while holding the position of Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan made a remarkable statement regarding the fact that the military equipment failed to function during the four-day April war due to substandard fuel."
