Eight COVID-19 Patients on Artificial Respiration, 80 in Serious Condition, 30 Critical: Torosyan
According to the latest data, eight COVID-19 patients are on artificial respiration, with 80 in serious condition and 30 in critical condition. This was stated by Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan in an interview with Radio Liberty.
He noted that the number of those in critical condition and suffering from pneumonia is increasing, which is natural since, if we take the percentage, the absolute number is rising, and therefore that percentage is increasing as well.
When asked whether the state of emergency, which ends on May 14, might be extended, he replied, "It is not a fact that it is ending. A decision will be made a few days before the 14th on whether to extend it or not. Even maintaining a light mode of restrictions, it is possible to keep the state of emergency in place."
