Ararat Governor Garik Sargsyan shared on his Facebook page: "Hello everyone. Today, I decided to show you what the street I live on looks like. The street is partially gravelled and maintenance work is conducted at least once a year, making it passable for at least a month after the repairs. If our luck holds and the community budget allows, potholes may even be repaired twice a year. And during rainy weather, we certainly do not lack for potholes.

Why am I sharing this with you? From time to time, complaints come from various communities in our province, often accompanied by photos and videos where citizens justifiably raise the issue of their poorly maintained streets and the urgent need for asphalting them. Believe me, I want those roads and streets to be in excellent condition just as much as you do. The government is doing everything possible to ensure that this disgrace inherited from the past becomes a bad memory for all of us.
In this direction, various programs are underway for the quality construction of inter-state, republican, regional, and other vital roads.

As you know, this year approximately 500 km of roads will be constructed, excluding the subsidy programs presented by the communities, which is the largest program of road construction in recent years. Sufficient work has already been done in this direction; project budget documents have been prepared, some competitions have already taken place, while others are waiting for their turn.

Dear compatriots, let us arm ourselves with patience and wait for the asphalting of our village/city roads and streets, which is not far off. I am confident, and all efforts are being invested in this direction, that year by year we will have better roads that meet international standards.
