13 Individuals Arrested in Gavar Incident
Thirteen participants in the recent incidents in Gavar, including murders and an attack on a hospital, have been arrested. This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Rima Eghanyan.
She noted that the investigative body submitted requests for the arrest of all 15 individuals involved to the court, but the court granted only 13 of these requests.
The criminal case involves charges against 15 individuals. Fourteen are accused of mass disturbances, while one is additionally charged with attempted murder.
An arrest warrant was also issued for two other individuals, with the enforcement assigned to the relevant division of the police.
It is worth mentioning that criminal cases have been initiated concerning the incidents in Gavar based on articles of the Criminal Code of Armenia, including Article 104 (murder), Article 235 (illegal acquisition, sale, possession, transportation, or carrying of weapons, military equipment, explosives, or explosive devices), Article 34-104 (attempted murder), Article 185 (willful destruction or damage to property), and Article 225 (mass disturbances).
The investigation is ongoing.
