Court Hearing Date for Hrayr Tovmasyan vs. Nikol Pashinyan Announced
The Judicial Information System has announced that the first court hearing in the case of Constitutional Court President Hrayr Tovmasyan against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will take place on May 13.
Tovmasyan is demanding an apology for remarks he deems offensive and a retraction of what he claims are defamatory statements.
Recall that during a press conference in Kapan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Constitutional Court President Hrayr Tovmasyan had offered his services to the current government. Following this statement, Tovmasyan indicated that he would go to court for defamation unless Pashinyan presented credible evidence.
Subsequently, Pashinyan published a photo of a pen, claiming it was a gift from Tovmasyan. It was revealed that this occurred during a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Armenian All-National Fund.
