Turkey Reports 2,936 New Coronavirus Cases in One Day
As of April 29, Turkey has reported 89 deaths due to coronavirus (Covid-19). This was announced by the country’s Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca, through his official Twitter account. In the post, the minister noted that 2,936 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed from 43,498 tests conducted in a single day.
During the same period, there were 89 recorded fatalities among infected individuals, while 5,231 people recovered. According to Ermenihaber, official data indicate that a total of 44,022 patients have recovered from the pandemic in Turkey so far, while 1,574 patients remain in intensive care.
Thus, the latest figures reveal that Turkey has a total of 117,589 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 3,081 deaths. The total number of tests conducted has reached 991,613.
It is noteworthy that, according to official data, the first confirmed case of coronavirus in Turkey was reported on March 11, and the first death occurred on March 17. Turkey has now surpassed Iran in the number of recorded coronavirus cases in the region.
