The Special Investigative Service Receives Materials on the Incident Between Alen Simonyan and Arthur Danielyan
The Special Investigative Service has received materials related to the incident between Vice President of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan and co-founder of the 'Adekvad' initiative, Arthur Danielyan. This was reported to Armenpress by the press secretary of the SIS, Marina Ohanyan.
Ohanyan stated, "The SIS has received materials regarding the incident." Earlier, the Prosecutor General of Armenia, Arthur Davtyan, announced that the materials concerning the incident between Vice President Simonyan and Danielyan had been transferred to the Special Investigative Service.
On April 29, National Assembly member Arman Babajanyan reported to the police that Vice President Alen Simonyan had been attacked. Co-founder of ‘Adekvad’ Konstantin Ter-Nakalyan posted a photo on his Facebook page showing Danielyan’s injured and bloodied nose, alleging that Alen Simonyan assaulted Danielyan while he was taking a walk.
Later, Alen Simonyan stated that he had seen several activists of the 'Adekvad' movement while walking, one of whom shouted an insult, after which a scuffle ensued. Simonyan has injuries to his cheek area.
