New Traffic Lights Operating in 'Pedestrian Call' Mode

In order to ensure and organize traffic safety, changes will be made to the traffic organization at unsignalized pedestrian crossings on four streets of the capital from April 30, 2020. These include the intersection of Moldovan Street No. 27/7 with Noragavit 1st Street and 6th Street; Glinka Street No. 19; M. Babajanyan Street No. 46, 146.

At the specified pedestrian crossings, as well as at Arshakunyats Avenue No. 12, 15, near the stone on Acharian Street, Leningrad Street No. 10, Tbilisi Highway No. 73/2, and Kanaker-Tsaghkadzor Street No. 117, traffic lights operating in 'Pedestrian Call' mode will be installed and activated in the near future.

With the implementation of these traffic lights, the sequence of vehicle movement on these road segments and pedestrian crossings will be regulated in consultation with pedestrians through the signals of the lights. At the same time, work is underway to install traffic lights in 'Pedestrian Call' mode at existing pedestrian crossings at the intersection of Baghramyan Avenue and Yerznkyan Street, as well as at addresses No. 63 and 65 on Z. Kanaker-Tsaghkadzor Street.
