It is evident that we will have cases until at least next March-April, Prime Minister

We mention several conditions to avoid the virus, but evidently these conditions are not being followed, and it will be difficult like this. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a government meeting today, April 30.

“If we cannot inform our citizens about certain behavioral rules and achieve compliance with those rules, we will have problems. I saw people standing in groups chatting. If there was an infected person among them, evidently, those 10-15 people would get infected.

We are talking about leaving the restrictions not because we have overcome the situation, but it is evident that until at least next March-April, we will have cases. Therefore, we cannot live in a closed mode for a year. Countries around the world are easing restrictions despite the presence of coronavirus. We need to establish new behavioral norms so that we can live in parallel, because continuing in a lockdown is no longer sustainable,” said the Prime Minister.

He added that under the new policy conditions, when asymptomatic and mildly infected individuals are sent home, it will be possible to service about 1,500 severe cases, considering how many of them will require lung ventilation.
