Government to Cover 30% of Electricity Bills up to 25,000 Dram and Gas Bills up to 40,000 Dram, Says Pashinyan
Until now, we had been supporting subscribers with a monthly electricity consumption of up to 10,000 dram. Now we have decided to also support those consumers who have an electricity consumption between 10,000 and 25,000 dram and a gas consumption between 30,000 and 40,000 dram for the month of February. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during a Facebook live broadcast on April 30, addressing the utility crisis.
“In this case, we will have 207,837 electricity subscribers and 81,697 gas subscribers,” Pashinyan said.
According to him, under the second point of the 16th measure, assistance will be provided to non-gasified villages. “In previous measures, we provided support separately for gas and separately for electricity. There are 310 non-gasified villages, and we have decided to reimburse 50% of the electricity costs for these villages, in addition to the previous reimbursements,” he noted.
As of now, out of our 70,000 electricity subscribers, 2,600 are cut off, while in the case of gas, out of 620,000 subscribers, 1,300 have been disconnected. According to the third point of this initiative, subscribers who had water consumption of up to 3,000 dram for the month of March will have 30% of their March bill reimbursed.
