Exclusive Footage Released from Shooting Incident in Gavar

Additionally, we present images showing three young men arriving at the scene of the murder in a Toyota vehicle with the license plate 47 CC 777, reportedly from Noratus. Upon seeing the shot-up car, they headed to the Gavar Medical Center uttering insults and calls for revenge.
Earlier, we reported that the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia had issued a statement confirming that criminal cases were opened regarding the killing of two individuals and infliction of gunshot wounds on four others in Gavar, as well as mass disturbances accompanied by violence and property destruction attributable to a group of individuals, which were consolidated into a single proceeding.
According to the report from the Investigative Committee, on April 28, 2020, around 5:00 PM, the alleged perpetrator(s) fired at residents of Noratus—Vahe Avetisyan, Hrachya Hakobyan, Armen Sargsyan, Artyom Petrosyan, and Sasun Meloyan—as well as residents of Gavar—Zohrap Paronikyan, Armen Haytian, and Vardan Davoyan—in a manner dangerous to many lives, resulting in critical injuries that caused the immediate deaths of V. Avetisyan and Z. Paronikyan, while the others were transported to “Gavar Medical Center” LLC for their injuries.
On the same date, a report was received from the Gavar Medical Center to the Gavar police stating that a group of individuals had attacked the hospital, breaking windows and injuring David Haytian, causing him various bodily injuries, including stab wounds and hemorrhagic shock of a serious nature.
It was revealed that the relatives and friends of Z. Paronikyan and V. Avetisyan, having learned of their deaths and believing that the suspects were at the hospital (A. Haytian, D. Haytian, and V. Davoyan), attempted, with the intent to kill, to invade the hospital armed with cutting and stabbing tools, but were thwarted due to police intervention.
Following these events, criminal cases were initiated regarding attempted murder and property destruction under the Armenian Penal Code. As of now, five individuals have been arrested on suspicion of participating in mass disturbances. The investigation is ongoing, and necessary investigative actions and operational measures are being carried out to clarify all circumstances of the case and the identities of the suspects.
