Free Online Platform Launched for Airline Advisory Services
The Consulate General of Armenia in Los Angeles informs that a free online platform is operational for advice regarding airline relations.
“In the current conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, some airlines are struggling and/or avoiding refunding passengers for cancelled flight tickets or are compelling passengers to accept vouchers, which presumably creates additional difficulties for citizens. According to general rules, and particularly for airlines registered in the European Union, European legislation provides for the refund of the amount at the passenger's discretion and consent, or the reception of a voucher in place of this,” the consulate noted.
In order to familiarize yourself with industry news, obtain basic legal advice free of charge if necessary, and receive information on other legal relations with airlines, especially those registered in the European Union, you can visit the first Armenian-language online support platform for passengers operating in Armenia, Passenger.am, or its pages on social networks (Facebook, Instagram) and submit your applications on the same platform to obtain advisory support,” the consulate emphasized.
