Amberd Fortress and the Road to Kari Lake Remain Closed Indefinitely
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of April 29 at 09:00, the roads in the Republic of Armenia are mostly passable. However, the roads leading to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in the Aragatsotn region will remain closed indefinitely.
Regarding the Lars situation, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the North Ossetian Crisis Management Center of the Russian Federation, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is currently open only for freight transport after intensive snow removal operations.
At the same time, it is reported that the ban on the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in effect. This restriction does not apply to cargo transportation. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
