Staff and 10th Graders of the School in Abovyan Village of Ararat Region are Isolated
The staff and 10th graders of the school in Abovyan village (formerly known as Aghbash) in the Ararat region are in isolation. According to LURER.com, one of the residents of this village, who worked as a nurse at the "Erebuni Medical Center," contracted the coronavirus and subsequently infected her family members, one of whom is a 10th grade student.
During those days, the school principal called the 10th graders for graduation photo sessions, which the student attended. The following day, the student showed symptoms of the illness, and all classmates were isolated.
The information was confirmed to LURER.com by the head of the Abovyan community, Avetik Harutyunyan: "I am aware that the school's principal, vice-principal, accountant, operator, and 10th graders are isolated in Tsaghkadzor. I am not privy to the details, but I am in contact with them; the main thing is that there is no danger," he stated in an interview with the media.
According to him, there are 3 infected residents in the village, and their family members are isolated.
The principal of Abovyan Secondary School, Marieta Grigoryan, also informed us that on April 17, they visited the school for the purpose of filming school records: "The children wanted to take pictures around the portrait of Mesrop Mashtots, as we had a child going to the army and they might not return to school anymore, so they decided to come to the school. Following all sanitary and hygiene rules, we quickly entered and exited the school. One of the children’s sisters worked at the 'Erebuni Medical Center,' and the infection came from there," she noted.
According to the principal, several school staff members and 7 students have been in isolation for 8 days.
