Aeroflot Operates Special Flight to Transport 123 Russian Citizens from Armenia to Russia
Aeroflot has operated a special flight from Yerevan to Saint Petersburg, followed by Moscow. The aircraft carried 123 Russian citizens, as reported by the Telegram channel of the Russian Ministry of Transport.
On March 27, amid the coronavirus pandemic, Russia suspended regular flights with other countries. Exceptions are made for repatriation flights, as well as cargo, mail, emergency, and humanitarian flights, empty aircraft intended for maintenance, and transit flights landing for refueling (crew changes) within the territory of the Russian Federation, along with flights conducted according to individual decisions of the Government of the Russian Federation.
From March 31, Russia reduced the number of repatriation flights and imposed restrictions on the number of incoming passengers. Since then, the arrival of Russian citizens from foreign countries to Moscow has only been conducted from Sheremetyevo Airport, with no more than 500 people per day, or from other airports in the Russian Federation, with no more than 200 people per day.
