We Actually Had Only 6 Days, During Which Enormous Volumes of Work Were Done: Eduard Aghajanyan
We actually had only 6 days, during which enormous volumes of work were done. This was stated by Eduard Aghajanyan, the head of the Prime Minister's office, on his Facebook page, referring to the events of April 24.
He particularly noted:
“Dear compatriots,
It was immensely pleasing to see your widespread positive reactions regarding the April 24 events organized by the Government of Armenia under quarantine conditions. It was a great honor for me to lead the working group that was responsible for both the content and organizational solutions of these events.
In the context of uncertainties arising from the pandemic, the mentioned working group held its first meeting on April 18. We actually had only 6 days, during which enormous volumes of work were carried out, for which Vice Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Ara Khzmalyan, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Tigran Virabyan, and head of the Public Relations and Information Agency Hovhannes Movsisyan deserve special praise. The results we witnessed were due to their full engagement in daily activities. The staff of the public television company did absolutely incredible work.
This was a substantially new and recontextualized approach to the commemoration ceremony of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide, showcasing to the whole world the monstrous attempt of the destruction of a civilization that occurred in the early 20th century.
The establishment of historical justice has no alternative. We remember and demand.”
