The 82-Year-Old Artush Grandpa, Who Captivated Our Hearts, Accompanied at the State Level to the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial
In the night of April 24 to 25, around 2:00 AM, 82-year-old Artush Grandpa, accompanied by a police officer, ascended to the heights of Tsitsernakaberd and finally laid flowers in memory of the victims of the Genocide.
It should be noted that the 82-year-old grandfather, flower in hand, unaware of the restrictions, went to Tsitsernakaberd to ascend the memorial and pay tribute to the memory of the Genocide martyrs as he does every year. However, the police did not allow him to go up.
Artush Grandpa had stated that regardless of the cost, he needed to reach the memorial and fulfill his duty. A photo of the grandfather, standing lost with flowers in hand, circulated online, captivating the hearts of users who criticized the police, suggesting that an exception could have been made for the elderly citizen.
Later, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page: 'I urge you not to repeat this. The restrictions are imposed solely for your health, especially for our compatriots of this age.'
