street dogs are increasing day by day. Edmon Marukyan publishes a citizen's letter
Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the Bright Armenia faction, has published a letter from a citizen on his Facebook page and expressed hope that the relevant authorities will address the issue.
The letter states: “Hello Mr. Marukyan. I am writing to you because, as a representative of the government, you are accessible to the public, and you truly raise every question that concerns us. The issue is very alarming to many people in our neighborhood. This is about the 6th block of Nor Nork, specifically the street between blocks 6 and 5, where street dogs are constantly increasing. They seem to be marked on their ears as if they are being monitored, but day by day the number of dogs keeps growing; they come into the courtyards of buildings. There is a children's park there (with slides, etc.), and the dogs are always in the park, which scares the children, and no parent can take their child outside anymore; there have been cases where they have attacked people.
If you look at the dogs, they appear unhealthy, with issues from their eyes and mouths, and they sit on the benches where children play. Why has their number so increased in one place? They think that it’s a remote area, a deserted place, and they bring them here; do the residents not matter? As a mother of a young child, I sincerely ask you to pay special attention to this issue. Thank you.”
