Video: Gas Leak in Yerevan Results in Fire

On April 23, at 23:43, the National Center for Crisis Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia received an alert regarding a gas meter on fire at building 1A on Griboedov Street in Yerevan.

A firefighting unit from the emergency response department of Yerevan was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a gas leak had occurred at the gas pipeline’s safety fittings, which resulted in the outbreak of a fire.

The rescuers closed the valve of the gas pipeline, which led to the self-extinguishing of the fire. Two automatic disconnect switches and the leaked gas were burned.
