The Post of One of the Grandsons of the Organizers of Genocide Outrages Turks
Turkish prominent journalist and commentator Hasan Jemal, the grandson of Jemal Pasha, one of the organizers of the Armenian Genocide, who has publicly acknowledged the genocide multiple times and apologized, made a post on Twitter for April 24.
"I share the pain of my Armenian brothers on the anniversary of the genocide," wrote Hasan Jemal. According to ERMENIHABER, however, this post has been received very negatively by several users on social media.
Users with anti-Armenian sentiments left various comments under Jemal's post, some of which are presented below:
Burak Yıldırım: "You won’t say a word about the hundreds of thousands of residents of Anatolia killed by Armenians, but as soon as April 24 comes, you immediately say 'Armenian Genocide.' Get out of here. You are pro-Armenian."
Özziyek: "It seems money has come from the American Armenian lobby."
Atilla Gönüllü: "If there was a tyrant in this country, this person and all those who share this post would be soap."
Esma: "There is no Armenian Genocide. There is a genocide committed by Armenians against Turks. The Turkish people did not commit genocide and will not."
It should be noted that the Turkish source that published this news has also called Jemal's post scandalous, not forgetting to use the expression 'so-called' in front of the term genocide, which is routinely employed in Turkish denialism.
