Czech Republic Exits Quarantine Regime Earlier Than Expected

The Czech government has decided to lift the nationwide quarantine that had been in place since mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Czech Republic was one of the first in Europe to introduce strict quarantine measures, and now it is among the first to exit the quarantine regime.

Starting April 24, residents will again be able to travel abroad, provided they undergo a two-week self-isolation upon returning. According to currenttime.tv, it remains unclear when the country’s borders will reopen to foreign visitors.

On Monday, April 27, shops covering less than 2,500 square meters will reopen, except for those located in shopping centers. This reopening was initially expected to occur only at the end of May. Fitness centers and zoos will also open their doors, and universities will begin accepting students again.
