Postgraduate Scholarship Amount to Increase by 35,000 AMD

The government made a decision in its session today, April 23, to increase the scholarship amount for postgraduate students by 35,000 AMD. The issue was presented by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Araik Harutyunyan, who noted that the increase will be 65,000 AMD for humanities majors, 60,000 AMD for natural sciences and other specialties, 55,000 AMD for economics and law specialties, and also 65,000 AMD for doctoral candidates.

The decision will take effect on September 1.

“This is almost a doubling of scholarships. We do not consider this to be a high figure, but it sends a very clear signal that promotes involvement in postgraduate educational programs and encourages the studies of young specialists,” the minister said.
