Inter-Regional Movement Restrictions and Checkpoints Removed: New Decision by the RA Prime Minister
According to a new decision by the Prime Minister, changes and additions have been made regarding the temporary restrictions on the right to free movement and types of economic activities throughout the Republic of Armenia, which came into effect on April 22 at 23:59. This was reported by the Armenian Unified Information Center.
Thus, the restriction on inter-regional movement is being lifted, and checkpoints are being removed. Instead, forces will be concentrated on implementing strengthened control over other restrictions. The logic of establishing special regimes based on the degree of risk of virus spread in specific communities will also be followed. Remaining restrictions related to individual movement and public transport will be maintained.
Temporary restrictions on some types of economic activities have been lifted. In particular, in the manufacturing sector:
- Printing activities
- Production of pesticides and other agrochemical substances
- Stone sawing, processing, and finishing
- Production of metal construction structures
- Production of electrical connection devices
- Repair of finished metal products, machinery, and equipment
- Installation of industrial machinery and equipment
In wholesale and retail trade, car and motorcycle repair sectors:
- Wholesale trade with remuneration or on a contractual basis, with the exception of several subsectors
- Wholesale trade of agricultural machinery, equipment, and spare parts
- Wholesale trade in machines for mining, construction, and civil engineering
- Certain types of retail trade in non-specialized shops
In the information and communication sector:
- Publishing of books
- Production of television programs, post-production activities, and distribution
In real estate activities:
In professional, scientific, and technical activities:
- Technical testing and analysis
- Scientific research and experimental development in the fields of natural and technical sciences
In administrative and supporting activities:
Administrative support and other auxiliary activities related to entrepreneurial activities for companies whose activities are not restricted.
In other service activities:
- Activities of trade unions
- Repair of computers and communication devices
- Repair of household electronic appliances
- Repair of home appliances and garden equipment
Specific rules for hygiene and epidemiological safety are also established for certain types of activities, as well as the possibility of exemption from restrictions for types such as "final processing of agricultural products," "production of clothing," "production of footwear," "production of electrical equipment," "furniture production," and "activities of sports clubs."
