Armenian Defense Minister Visits Combat Positions on Southwestern Border with Azerbaijan

On April 22, Armenia's Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan made a working visit to the combat positions located along the southwestern section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.

The Minister was briefed on the operational-tactical situation in the border zone, as well as on the engineering and fortification works that have been completed or are ongoing, the rearmament of the positions, and issues related to logistical support.

The head of the defense department spoke with the duty personnel, assuring them that issues related to the continuous improvement of the social and living conditions of the staff are always under the attention of the country's military-political leadership.

Davit Tonoyan encouraged soldiers carrying out combat duty under challenging highland conditions and expressed gratitude for their excellent service.

The Defense Minister also listened to reports from the commanders of the military units on the implementation of tasks set before the divisions and the efforts aimed at consistently enhancing the combat and moral-psychological preparedness of the personnel, providing relevant assignments and instructions.
