51 Cases of Coronavirus Confirmed in Gegharkunik Province, 1 Fatality: Governor

In Gegharkunik Province, 51 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed, with 1 resulting in death. A total of 172 individuals are isolated due to the virus, while 617 citizens are under self-isolation.

The fatality involved an 87-year-old woman who had been suffering from a coronavirus-related illness, had been bedridden for 8 years, and also had chronic conditions such as ischemic heart disease and had suffered several ischemic strokes.

Three days prior, a positive coronavirus test was recorded for the patient’s daughter, followed by a positive result for the patient herself two days later. Unfortunately, due to accompanying health issues, it was not possible to save the patient's life.
