Highways in Armenia Mostly Open and Passable
The Ministry of Emergency Situations announces that as of April 22, the highways in Armenia are mostly passable.
The roads leading to the Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in the Aragatsotn province will remain closed for an indefinite period.
According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia's North Ossetia, the Stepanavar- Lars highway is open only for freight transport after intensive snow removal work.
At the same time, it is reported that the decision to prohibit foreign citizens from entering Georgia remains in effect. This restriction does not apply to freight transport.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
