COVID-19 Death Toll in the U.S. Exceeds 45,000

In one day, 2,751 people have died from COVID-19 in the United States, with the previous day recording 1,433 deaths. This information is reported by Johns Hopkins University.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 45,000 people have died in the country, and nearly 820,000 have been infected.

On April 21, Robert Redfield, the head of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, stated in an interview with the Washington Post that the anticipated second wave of COVID-19 next winter could be much worse than the current situation.

Currently, the U.S. ranks first in the world in both the number of infections and fatalities.
