The Number of Coronavirus Infections in Turkey Has Exceeded 90,000
As of April 20, Turkey has reported a total of 123 deaths from the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19). This information was shared on the official Twitter page of the Turkish Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca, according to ermenihaber.am.
The minister stated in his post that there were 4,674 new confirmed cases of coronavirus infection out of 39,703 tests conducted in the past 24 hours. During the same period, 123 fatalities were recorded among infected individuals, while 1,454 people recovered.
According to official data, a total of 13,430 patients have recovered from the pandemic in Turkey to date. Currently, 1,909 patients are in intensive care units.
Based on the latest figures, Turkey has recorded a total of 90,980 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 2,140 deaths. The total number of tests conducted has reached 673,980.
It is worth noting that, according to official data, the first confirmed case of coronavirus infection in Turkey was reported on March 11, and the first death was recorded on March 17. Turkey has significantly surpassed Iran in the number of coronavirus cases in the region.
